Biglajz, the floodgate on the River Torysa lost its function two decades ago. Nowadays these remnants are a favored stopover for people walking along the river. A steel grid based glass cube is raised on the floodgate. Columns break through the interior and give place for water taps. Drinking water is served after entering the object through a metal stairway. Narrow glass beams and ceiling open up a view to all sides. The offset of the stairway provides an external access to the floodgate surrounded by a terrace. Art works are temporarily installed on nine concrete blocks across the river. The view is appreciated from the tribune seating on the opposite side. The resurrection of Biglajz gently enriches the river landscape.
